More than 100 people work at Enmore today, many in roles that did not exist in Guyana a few years ago. Premium connection threading, plating line operation and OCTG inspection were all work the country sent abroad. Bringing it here meant training people here to do it.
Why Work with GKB?
The international standards are specific ones. GKB's thread licensors, JFE Steel, Tenaris and NOV Grant Prideco, audit the people and the process as well as the machines, and working to that standard is a qualification a machinist carries for the rest of a career.

Experience in oil and gas helps but is not required for every role. Much of the specific work is taught on site, because it is specialized enough that most people learn it here whatever their background.
Where you would be working
All roles are based at the Enmore facility on the East Coast Demerara, on the site of the former Enmore Sugar Estate. The complex covers roughly 55 acres and is still being built out, so the plant a new hire joins this year is not the plant they will be working in a few years from now.
